Hi! I am a Kansas City Physical therapist with an American Physical therapy Board Certified Geriatric Clinical Specialist. I received a Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy from Arcadia University, Pennsylvania, and Masters in Neurological Rehabilitation from India. My goal is to empower the elderly and achieve healthy aging. With my expertise, I focus on nurturing the patient-therapist relationship and providing customized evaluations, treatments, resources, and out-of-the-box techniques to help you feel your best with effective communication and the meaningful mind-body connection. I enjoy working with patients from all different cultural backgrounds. I am very passionate about my clients taking ownership of their progress. This is what drives me to continually learn and achieve positive results in my patients. I look forward to caring for you and being a part of your journey to recovery.
I also have additional areas of expertise in Chronic pain management(Neck and Back), Post COVID syndrome, Neurologic rehabilitation including the treatment of Parkinson's, SCI, TBI, stroke, and spasticity. I have the OTAGO certification for Fall prevention among the elderly through a structured Home-based Balance program.
Here’s a little background on how I got interested in Chronic pain - after undergoing low back pain for >2 years and increased psychological stress I did a lot of research on alternate interventions to pain meds and used the Pain Neuroscience approach to treat myself effectively. After helping others Post Covid to combat fatigue levels, I started my own rehab journey. Through this journey, I explored Post COVID conditioning to regain the prior energy level. I am excited to provide a friendly, comfortable space for healing. I believe that movement should be pain-free and that physical therapy is an essential part of healing and maintaining wellness. Can’t wait to meet you! Please feel free to contact me with any questions or just to tell me where you are at in your wellness journey.
