Dr. Patricia Frey, DO
Dr. Patricia Frey was born and raised in New Jersey, and attended Connecticut College where she was a member of Psi Chi, the international honor society in psychology, and graduated with a BA in Behavioral Neuroscience. Dr. Frey received her medical training at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey School of Osteopathic Medicine, and went on to complete her residency in psychiatry at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai West and St. Luke’s in Manhattan, where she was chief resident. Dr. Frey underwent additional training in electroconvulsive therapy (ECT) at Columbia University, as well as training in treating patients suffering from opioid addiction with buprenorphine.
Dr. Frey is a highly skilled, board-certified psychiatrist specializing in a variety of adolescent through geriatric mental health conditions and addiction. In addition to her work at an outpatient non-profit mental health clinic, Dr. Frey continues to be active academically, serving as a clinical instructor in psychiatry for medical students at the Sidney Kimmel College of Medicine in Philadelphia, for family medicine residents on psychiatric rotations, and for psychiatric nurse practitioner students.
