Yellowing of the eyes and skin
Very serious side effects are even more uncommon. If you experience an allergic reaction, severe dizziness, or trouble breathing, call your doctor right away.
In extremely rare cases, promethazine may cause neuroleptic malignant syndrome. Symptoms include fever, muscle ache, severe fatigue or confusion, sweating, irregular heartbeat, dark urine, or kidney problems. If you are experiencing any of the symptoms of neuroleptic malignant syndrome, call 911 right away.
