Born and raised in Kansas, Curtis is certified as a family nurse practitioner (FNP-C). He received his Bachelor of Science (BSN) in Nursing from the University of Kansas and his Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) from Pittsburg State University. Prior to becoming a nurse practitioner Curtis spent 5 years as a nurse at Children’s Mercy Hospital in Kansas City, Missouri. Curtis’ clinical interests include the utilization of nutrition and other lifestyle factors as a means to prevent and reverse chronic disease, and the overall science of longevity. Curtis and his wife Maggie have a two-year-old daughter, Gianna, who loves digging in the dirt, long walks in her wagon, and Daniel Tiger. Curtis is an avid fan of the Chiefs, Jayhawks, and Royals. His interests outside of healthcare include cycling, reading, and desperately trying to become good at golf.
