I get it. All of the “unknowns” of therapy can seem scary. However, feeling down, depressed, and anxious is harder. I’m here to help with that.
I believe that therapy is a collaborative process. I certainly cannot promise that I have all of the answers, but I can promise that I will help you find the best answer for you. I believe that you already know what’s right for you — you need a safe space to discover what that is.
I have experience working as a Cognitive Behavioral Therapist with many different kinds of women experiencing depression, anxiety, acute stress, the effects of complex trauma, or just “I’m having a hard time handling life right now.” I can provide services in both English and Spanish, and treat women from adolescence to adulthood. I am passionate about working with moms postpartum, trying to navigate the new, exciting world of motherhood.
I am also trained in EMDR, a type of treatment that helps people truly heal from their difficult experiences to feel more calm, confident, and present. EMDR helps the person understand how their past has influenced how they think about themselves, and to reshape that into something that serves them instead of hurts them. One of the beautiful parts of this modality is that it incorporates the body to help each person feel fully aligned and integrated.
