Bailey Jacobs is a counseling intern at Resolve and is completing her last year as a graduate student at Liberty University. She has a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Liberty University and will soon graduate with a Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling. Her previous clinical experience includes working as an intensive in-home therapist for children and teens with varying behavioral needs and special abilities. Additionally, she has worked as a crisis care clinician for young people whose level of care increased over a short amount of time, stepping into the role of advocate on many occasions to ensure her clients’ best possible care with other service providers. With this background, Bailey has worked directly alongside her clients’ providers such as psychiatrists, inpatient nurses, psychologists, DSS workers, FAPT, and primary care physicians to develop holistic treatment plans to fit her clients’ unique needs.
Bailey has a passion for advocating on her client’s behalf so that they receive the best care possible. Her skills as a clinician include family therapy, parent coaching, development of effective treatment plans for increasing appropriate boundaries and social skills, as well as various cognitive behavioral strategies. She is enthusiastic about working collaboratively with families and their children to create healthy, thriving family systems. Additionally, Bailey is eager to work with teens and their families who need guidance traversing difficult life transitions, relational conflicts, or challenging social issues. She desires to see all of her clients succeed in reaching their personal goals and thriving in their home and relationships. Individual needs that Bailey has worked extensively with include Attention Deficit and Hyperactivity Disorder, conduct issues, trauma backgrounds, childhood attachment difficulties, depression, anxiety, and panic disorder. In her personal time, Bailey enjoys spending time outside with her family and friends, running, reading, and exploring new places.
