Janet Lee received her doctorate in acupuncture and Chinese medicine (DACM) from Pacific College of Health and Science in San Diego. She is a licensed acupuncturist (L.Ac.) in Missouri, Kansas and California and a Diplomate of Oriental Medicine (Dipl. OM). Dr. Lee is also a Fellow of the American Board of Oriental Reproductive Medicine (FABORM), one of only two practitioners in the state of Kansas who has earned this distinction and the only one in Kansas City to have it, meaning she has completed extensive specialized training in women’s health and infertility and passed a rigorous exam. She continues to pursue education and training in women’s health, reproductive medicine and pregnancy health.
Dr. Lee enjoys exercise and brings an extensive background in health and fitness. She is a certified yoga teacher and a Corrective Exercise Specialist. She has dedicated hundreds of additional hours to the study of sports medicine and corrective exercise and enjoys working with fitness enthusiasts and athletes to help them improve performance and head off injuries. She is the co-author of The Supplement Handbook with Mark Moyad, MD, and writes frequently about health and nutrition for Consumer Reports and other publications.
