Dr. Chiedozie Ojimba MD is a board-certified psychiatrist in general adult and addiction psychiatry through the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN). He received his general adult psychiatry residency and addiction psychiatry fellowship training at Interfaith Medical Center, New York, and Montefiore-Albert Einstein College of Medicine University Hospital, New York, respectively. He attended the University of Wolverhampton in the United Kingdom, where he earned his master’s in public health (MPH) degree.
Dr. Ojimba has over 18 years of clinical practice experience since his graduation from medical school. He worked as an internal medicine and emergency room physician in the United Kingdom for close to a decade prior to starting his psychiatry residency program in the USA. He also worked as public health specialist both in the United Kingdom and the USA. He was the chief resident during his residency training and has mentored several medical students and residents in different specialties. He enjoys the synergy and interwoven connection between internal medicine, psychiatry, addiction, and public health and approaches therapeutic treatments of his patients from that lens of holistic perspective. Dr. Ojimba understands that patients with mental illness and substance use problems are a vulnerable population who have struggled through the stigma of looking for help and must be heard and supported.
