Diogenes Almonte, MD, brings more than 35 years of experience in pediatrics and general medicine to Prominis Medical Services, serving patients in the Williamsburg office.
Dr. Almonte began his professional education at the Universidad Autónoma de Santo Domingo in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic, where he earned his Doctor of Medicine. After graduation, Dr. Almonte completed an internship at the Army Hospital at Santo Domingo.
Dr. Almonte subsequently moved to the United States and participated in a pediatric residency at Interfaith Medical Center in Brooklyn, followed by a second residency at Montefiore Mount Vernon Hospital in Mount Vernon, New York. Dr. Almonte also participated in a one-year fellowship in pediatric infectious diseases followed by a two-year residency in general pediatrics at The Jewish Hospital and Medical Center of Brooklyn.
As a pediatrician, Dr. Almonte specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of pediatric diabetes. He also offers well-child exams and physicals, vaccinations, immunizations, and preventive medicine. Dr. Almonte holds a license in general medicine and surgery.
