Dr. Kathryn Turner, DO

Dr. Katie Turner, DO, is a dedicated and compassionate physician with extensive experience in osteopathic medicine and family practice. With a BA in Biology and Spanish from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, she went on to earn her medical degree and complete the Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine Fellowship at Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences. Dr. Turner further honed her skills during her time at the Alaska Family Medicine Residency in Anchorage, where she served as a fourth-year chief resident.

After taking a break from practicing medicine to raise her children, Dr. Turner joined Blue Lotus Family Medicine, a direct primary care clinic. Fluent in both English and Spanish, she is passionate about providing comprehensive and individualized care to a diverse range of patients, treating them as whole persons and focusing on their mental, spiritual, social and emotional well-being in addition to their physical health.

Dr. Turner's medical services encompass a wide range of care types, from routine check-ups, school/sports physicals, and well-woman exams to in-person consultations for skin concerns, vaginal infections, UTIs and diabetes management. She also offers specialized services such as IUD insertions, introductions to direct primary care and video mental health consultations.

With expertise in women's health, mental health, preventative health and osteopathic manipulative therapy (OMT), Dr. Turner has built a reputation for her collaborative and empathetic approach to patient care, ensuring that each individual's health journey is tailored to their unique needs and circumstances.
