For $59 per month, Sesame’s Skincare Rx program includes an initial video consultation with your chosen provider, a personalized treatment plan (including prescriptions as appropriate), unlimited messaging with your provider for ongoing support, and follow-up visits as needed to make sure you’re on track to reach your goals.

Please note that medications prescribed through Skincare Rx are not included within the $59 subscription price. However, you will receive a prescription savings card that can help you save up to 80% on your medications. Please note that the card cannot be used in conjunction with insurance.

Yes! A provider on Sesame can prescribe Accutane (isotretinoin) during your Skincare Rx video consult if appropriate.

Please note that ongoing monitoring, including frequent pregnancy testing for those able to become pregnant, is a mandatory part of the prescription process for Accutane. Isotretinoin is known to cause fetal harm and cannot be prescribed to those who are pregnant, breastfeeding, or may soon become pregnant.

No, Sesame does not accept health insurance in order to keep prices affordable for all. This means you don’t need to worry about specialist referrals or insurance coverage to access high-quality dermatological care. You’ll also receive a free prescription savings card to show to your pharmacist, which can help reduce the cost of your medications.

If you do have insurance, you can pay for your Skincare Rx subscription and any prescribed medications using a Health Savings Account (HSA) or Flexible Spending Account (FSA). Depending on your plan, your insurance may also cover the cost of your medication.

Subscription refunds

• If you sign up for Sesame's Skincare Rx subscription and cancel at least 3 hours prior to your initial visit start time, you will receive a full refund. No refunds will be issued for the first month if the initial visit has occurred.
• You can self-cancel your subscription at any point. To avoid future charges, cancellation must occur before the next billing cycle starts. Fees paid for previous months are not refundable.

Provide your name, contact information, and details of the service for which you are requesting a refund. Our team will review your request and guide you through the refund process based on the terms above.

Our dermatology subscription offers a wide range of treatments, but it's important to understand limitations and safety considerations. While many conditions can be effectively managed via telemedicine, severe or complex cases may require in-person evaluation.

Your initial consultation will determine if the program suits your specific needs. Providers on Sesame cannot prescribe controlled substances online. Before starting any treatment, it's critical to discuss your complete medical history with your provider. This includes current medications, diagnosed conditions and any other concerns you may have.

If you're pregnant, planning to become pregnant, breastfeeding, or recently gave birth, inform your provider as some medications may be harmful in these situations. Your provider will use this information to create a tailored, safe treatment plan.
