2. Meet with your provider Join your video visit from your mobile device or laptop at the selected time. During the visit, your provider will talk with you about your symptoms, concerns, and treatment options.
3. Receive treatment If medication is prescribed as part of your treatment, your prescription will be sent to a pharmacy of your choice for pickup. If your usual pharmacy is unavailable, we’ll help you find one close to you.

These services are available to individuals who have been displaced from their homes or are unable to access their usual medical facility, provider, or pharmacy due to the ongoing wildfires in Los Angeles, CA.

Virtual appointments allow you to access care for a range of acute and chronic conditions, including asthma, allergies, high blood pressure, diabetes, UTIs, birth control, mental health and more. If medically appropriate, your provider can also write or refill a prescription for non-controlled medications.

Any prescribed medication will be sent to a pharmacy of your choice for pickup. If your usual pharmacy is closed or affected by the fires, your provider can help you find an open pharmacy closest to your current location.

While it's helpful to have proof of a prescription prior to your visit, providers on Sesame can still assist with prescription refills even if you don’t have access to your usual provider or medical records. In some instances, your Sesame provider may also be able to access a national pharmacy system to see prescriptions from non-Sesame providers.

No, Sesame does not accept health insurance in order to keep prices low and transparent. This means you don’t need to worry about specialist referrals or insurance coverage to access care. If medication is prescribed during your visit, you’ll also receive a free prescription savings card to show to your pharmacist, which can help reduce the cost of your medications.

If you do have insurance, you can pay for any prescribed medications using a Health Savings Account (HSA) or Flexible Spending Account (FSA). Depending on your plan, your insurance may also cover the cost of your medication.

No, online health care providers on Sesame will not prescribe any medication listed as a controlled substance. This includes stimulant ADHD medication (Adderall, Vyvanse), benzodiazepines (Ativan, Klonopin, Valium, Xanax) and opioids.
