What are the side effects of avanafil?

The use of avanafil has been shown to cause side effects in some patients.

Common mild side effects of avanafil use include:

  • A feeling of warmth (flushing)
  • Dizziness
  • Muscle aches

More severe side effects include:

  • An erection that lasts more than 4 hours
  • Low blood pressure
  • Fainting
  • High blood pressure
  • Blurred vision or loss of vision
  • Ringing or pounding in the ears
  • Hearing loss
  • Rash
  • Itching
  • Swelling

Seek medical attention immediately if you experience any severe symptoms while using avanafil. If you experience mild side effects that become severe or do not go away after a few days, speak to a healthcare provider right away.

What should I tell my healthcare provider before using avanafil?
