For erosive esophagitis: Adults and children over 12 are prescribed a starting dose of 60 mg of dexlansoprazole to be taken once a day. This dosage may be adjusted as needed. Swallow the delayed-release capsule whole. This medication can be taken with food.
For GERD: Adults and children over 12 are prescribed a starting dose of 30 mg of dexlansoprazole to be taken once a day. This dosage may be adjusted as needed. Swallow the delayed-release capsule whole. This medication can be taken with food.
Do not discontinue or increase your dosage of dexlansoprazole without first consulting your doctor. Take the medication exactly as prescribed, and inform your doctor if you begin to experience any side effects while taking the medication.
