What are the side effects of Flagyl?
While Flagyl (metronidazole) is generally well-tolerated, some people may experience mild, temporary side effects during treatment. These include nausea, vomiting, constipation, diarrhea, stomach pain, headaches, dry mouth, a sharp metallic taste, a stuffy or runny nose, and a darkening of the urine.
Serious side effects include numbness or tingling in your hands or feet, dizziness, confusion, vision changes, joint pain, a rapid or irregular heartbeat and seizures, as well as allergic reactions like hives and swelling of the face, lips, tongue, and throat. Stop taking Flagyl and speak to a provider immediately if you experience any of these serious side effects.
