Nitrofurantoin is available in the following forms:

The recommended dosage of nitrofurantoin may vary depending on the individual's condition and response to treatment. If you are taking liquid nitrofurantoin, use a dosing spoon or measuring cup to measure the medicine. Do not use a household spoon to estimate the amount of medication to use.

If you miss a dose, take it as soon as you remember it. If it's almost time for another dose of nitrofurantoin, skip the missed dose and take your next dose as scheduled. Do not take or apply a double dose of nitrofurantoin.
