Sesame’s Mental Health Rx subscription is an affordable, convenient and clinically comprehensive option for individuals ages 18+ who may need or who are currently using psychiatric medications to manage conditions like anxiety disorders, depression, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), insomnia, performance anxiety, or who are experiencing symptoms such as constant worry, stress, burnout or trouble sleeping.

This service might be right for you if:

• You are struggling with your mental health and unsure where to begin.
• You paused medication use, but feel like you need medication support again.
• You've lost access to your current mental health prescriber.
• You are experiencing long wait times for care.
• Your current mental health care costs are too high.

Sesame’s Mental Health Rx subscription is not intended for the treatment of bipolar disorder, borderline personality disorder (BDP), obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), eating disorders, schizoaffective disorder or schizophrenia. Note that all prescriptions are at the discretion of your Sesame healthcare provider.

Your Mental Health Rx monthly subscription price will include the following:

• An initial video evaluation with a provider of your choice, along with follow-up video visits to monitor medication progress and side effects as needed
• 28 days of unlimited open messaging with your provider
• A prescription and/or refill for mental health medication(s), if appropriate.
• Medication management (adjustments to medication dosage as needed)

Please note that medication is not included in the price of your Mental Health Rx subscription. However, generic mental health medications are covered by most major insurers, and you will also receive a prescription savings card from Sesame that can help reduce the cost of medication by up to 80%, whether you’re insured or not.

Providers on Sesame set their own prices, which means that some providers may offer the Mental Health Rx subscription at a higher price.

Yes. If deemed clinically appropriate, a licensed professional on Sesame can prescribe medication and other treatments for mental health conditions like anxiety, depression, PTSD, insomnia, and performance anxiety. Any prescriptions will be sent to a pharmacy of your choice for pickup.

Commonly prescribed mental health medications include anti-anxiety medications, antidepressants, mood stabilizers, and antipsychotics. Examples include serotonin and norepinephrine reuptake inhibitors (SNRIs), selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRIs) and tricyclic antidepressants (TCAs).

However, you can book a broad range of online psychiatry services and talk therapy services on Sesame, including:

• Online therapist sessions
• Online psychiatric visits
• Online couples therapy

In addition, licensed mental health care providers on Sesame can address and treat mental health conditions such as:

• Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD)
• Bipolar disorder
• Obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD)
• Adult attention-deficit/hyperactivity disorder (ADHD)
• Schizophrenia

Most care providers will request an initial consultation to discuss your symptoms or concerns. After a consult, providers on Sesame can refer you to a specialist, refer you to therapy, and/or schedule follow-up appointments for further care.

Subscription refunds

• If you sign up for Sesame's Mental Health Rx subscription and cancel at least 3 hours prior to your initial visit start time, you will receive a full refund. No refunds will be issued for the first month if the initial visit has occurred.
• You can self-cancel your subscription at any point. To avoid future charges, cancellation must occur before the next billing cycle starts. Fees paid for previous months are not refundable.

To request a refund, please contact Sesame’s Customer Success Team at support@sesamecare.com. Provide your name, contact information, and details of the service for which you are requesting a refund. Our team will review your request and guide you through the refund process based on the terms above.
