Common side effects of oral Wegovy include nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, abdominal pain, or constipation. Some people also experience decreased appetite, heartburn, or burping.
Contact your doctor right away if you experience an unexplained rash, swelling, stomach pain, difficulty breathing, decreased urination, changes in vision, itchy skin, a lump or swelling in the neck, hoarseness, difficulty swallowing, shortness of breath, or severe abdominal pain while taking oral Wegovy.
Do not take oral Wegovy if you or a family member has ever had medullary thyroid carcinoma (MTC) or multiple endocrine neoplasia syndrome type 2 (MEN 2). You should also avoid Wegovy if you’ve had a prior allergic reaction to semaglutide or any other ingredients in Wegovy. Inform your doctor if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, or planning to become pregnant.
