Benjamin Jantzi, DNP, FNP-BC is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner who manages many acute and chronic health conditions including hypothyroidism, hypertension, diabetes, upper respiratory infections, UTIs, Sexually transmitted infections, Ear infections, depression, anxiety, low back pain, and asthma. He is a strong proponent of evidence-based medicine, including antibiotic stewardship. He does not prescribe benzodiazepines or narcotics due to their potential risks and side effects, instead preferring to prioritize your well-being and explore alternative treatments that can be safer and more effective. Benjamin is a proud member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP), Nurse Practitioners of Idaho (NPI), and the Street Medicine Institute (SMI)
He became a Nurse Practitioner because he is driven by a patient-centered philosophy that prioritizes individualized care. His experience in the Emergency Department (ED) highlighted systemic inefficiencies and the overuse of emergency services for non-emergent issues. Witnessing these challenges inspired him to pursue further education as a Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP). Recognizing the potential of telehealth, he aims to apply streamlined, efficient care models in telehealth to reduce costs, improve accessibility, and prevent unnecessary ED visits, ensuring better overall patient care in a more convenient and accessible manner.
He most enjoys working with patients because it allows him to provide care that is tailored to their unique needs, fostering a holistic and patient-centered approach. Individualized care gives him a sense of fulfillment and value in his role. Additionally, he enjoys making a tangible difference in health outcomes, whether through direct interactions or by implementing innovative care models like telehealth to enhance accessibility and efficiency.
