I chose to become a clinical therapist in order to help people change how
they think so that they are able to change the behaviors they would like to
change. I enjoy working with all types of people. One of the things I enjoy
the most is watching people change and thus improve their lives.
My main approach is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy because changing how
we think increases the chances that we can change our behaviors.
Because my focus is person-centered, you will find a safe and supportive
place here to work on your issues. I am here to help you reach your goals,
whether it is to become sober, deal with mental health issues, work on
relationship issues, life transitions, and many other general issues.
I also bring a direct and supportive style. My background is as a clinical
therapist with a Behavioral Health Board where I worked for 17 ½ years,
working mostly with substance abuse and mental health clients. I have
been in private practice for 10 years, working with people with many
diverse types of problems or issues. I very much enjoy my work and being
able to help others improve their lives.
