As an experienced psychologist, healthcare team leader, Buddhist, and coach, husband and father, I have a broad perspective on how to live a happy, ethical life. If we live our lives with compassion, gratitude, friendliness, and equanimity, we can set ourselves free from suffering. While unpleasant experiences are inevitable, suffering is optional.
Our lives are replete with both pleasant and unpleasant experiences, and we will experience both whether we want to or not. The only successful way beyond our present circumstance is through. There is no need to run. To live our lives gracefully—in spite of everything—is attainable.
My approach includes a whole-self, mindfulness orientation that includes exercise, nutrition, developmental psychology, and spirituality. I work with people of all ages and specialize in emotional dysregulation including anxiety and depression, all forms of craving, as well as life cycle issues. In my leisure time, I enjoy cooking, financial planning, jogging, walking along the beach, meditating, listening to bluegrass music, and having fun.
