Ewa Blachowicz is an Advanced Practice Nurse with more than 18 years of experience in ambulatory, assisted living, acute care, and hospice settings. She holds a Doctor of Nursing Practice degree and an Advanced Practice Nursing degree from Loyola University Chicago, as well as a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from St. Xavier University, all completed with summa cum laude honors.
Ewa currently serves as Lead APP in Urology at Rush University Medical Center, providing comprehensive outpatient urologic care and guiding the APP urology team in delivering integrated, evidence-based care. She collaborates closely with physicians, staff, and students to support departmental goals while advocating for patients, families, and colleagues.
Prior to her current role, she spent more than 17 years with Associated Urological Specialists in Orland Park, where she managed a wide range of urologic conditions, performed in-office procedures such as urodynamics and skin lesion removal, and supported surgical and hospital-based care. Her background also includes advanced practice roles in primary care and hospice, where she provided diagnostic evaluation, treatment planning, medication management, and patient education. Earlier in her career, she practiced as a registered nurse at Palos Community Hospital, gaining experience in orthopedic, telemetry, ICU, and emergency care, and serving for eight years as hospital house supervisor.
