Hello, I’m Madeline.
I am a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate and a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist Associate with a Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling (with a concentration in Marriage and Family Therapy) from Sam Houston State University, supervised by Shaunnika Green, LPC-S and Jennifer Reeves, LMFT-S.
You’re probably wondering what makes me different from other therapists. Aside from my education and clinical training, I know what it’s like to be on the other side of the couch.
The search for a therapist can feel daunting. Maybe you’ve been in therapy before and the therapist wasn’t a good fit. Maybe they even made the session about them instead. When you work with me, you will be in the driver’s seat. You are the expert of your life, and I am the expert of therapy. We will work together to help you overcome whatever brings you into therapy.
I specialize in women’s issues (such as low self-esteem, people-pleasing, and boundary setting), women of color experiencing maternal mental health challenges (for example, antepartum and postpartum depression and anxiety), and couples counseling (which may look like, increasing effective communication, rebuilding trust, and enhancing the overall relationship). I believe in using various types of treatment (which we in the field call an eclectic approach), and tailoring our sessions to fit your personality, goals, and needs.
I know that life can be hectic, so I offer virtual and in-person appointments, with evening and daytime availability.
