Olufunke Oshoba, FNP is a board-certified Advanced Practice Registered Nurse, who specializes in providing primary care for patients ages 13 and above. Funke (as she is fondly called by family, friends, and her patients) is a Family Nurse Practitioner with over 13 years of nursing experience. Funke received her Master’s Degree in Nursing from the University Texas at Arlington (UTA). She is a member of the American Association of Nurse Practitioners and earned her Family Nurse Practitioner Certificate from the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. She offers care in English and Yoruba languages. She is able to diagnose and treat acute illnesses such as flu-like symptoms, common cold, strep throat, gastroenteritis, COVID-19, urinary tract infection, pneumonia, sinus pressure, headache, fever, abdominal pain, sprains and strains, acute back pain, asthma exacerbation, bronchitis. She is able to manage chronic diseases like high blood pressure, diabetes, high cholesterol, hypothyroidism, asthma, COPD, arthritis, migraine, obesity, anxiety, depression, insomnia, ADHD ( no controlled medications offered). Funke has always been passionate about providing care to people since her early teens and her father dubbed her as the "Doctor in the house." She sees helping people as a way of life and not a job. Funke listens and she is very thorough. She is a firm believer of holistic care and is committed to helping you and your family achieve optimal wellness. Funke also has prior professional experience as a social care worker in a therapeutic setting dedicated to helping behaviorally-challenged teenagers in the Republic of Ireland.
