I continue to feel privileged when individuals, couples, and families allow me to assist them in meeting their personal goals. After recognizing the need for additional support, many feel vulnerable and even overwhelmed in taking that first step. From our first session, I thrive to assure that each client feels comfortable and safe within a confidential setting to openly explore their experiences and emotions. I am committed to serving each client with compassion and empathy. I am a strength-based clinician who believes in working collaboratively with you to identify your goals and achieve your desired success. While I thoroughly enjoy working with clients of all ages, experiencing a variety of challenges, I have specific experience and passion for working with I recognize that there is no one method or model of therapy that fits everyone; thus I utilize an eclectic approach to therapy based on my clients’ needs. I often apply techniques from Solution-Focused Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Structural Therapy, and Motivational Interviewing counseling method. Additionally, with children I utilize both directive and non-directive Play Therapy techniques. In 2004, I received my Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from The University of South Carolina-Upstate. I obtained my Educational Specialist Degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Converse College in 2007. Throughout the years, I have had the opportunity to practice in a variety of settings consisting of outpatient and residential settings as well as non-profit organizations and private practice.
