Hello! My name is Shannon Gigounas and I have been a leader and clinician in the healthcare industry for more than 25 years. I have been practicing since 2001 as a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner with a Doctor of Nursing Practice degree from Johns Hopkins University. I started my career as a nurse in the ER at Marin General Hospital, then practiced at Kaiser Permanente for over 12 years, then owned my private health centers in the Bay Area, and most recently led nationwide healthcare organizations for the past 5 years before returning to my true love, direct patient care. I have expertise in primary care, urgent care, behavioral health, occupational health, sports medicine, and orthopedics. Beyond my passion for improving the health and well-being of others, I am a fifth-generation San Francisco Bay Area native and enjoy spending time with my friends and family hiking, running, boating, skiing, and traveling.
