Sharon A. Smith is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner who specializes in Primary Care and Women's health and who has been practicing as an NP for 2.5 years and in the nursing field for 25 years. She is able to treat symptoms of but not limited to, respiratory illness, UTI, STI, urgent care type of conditions that can be treated without an office visit. I chose being an FNP to have more autonomy with my patients and to be the one they can count on to listen and actually hear what they are saying. Having been in the position, even as a provider, where I could not get proper help for a medical issue, I understand how important it is to have empathy and sympathy for our patients. I thoroughly enjoy treating patients and sending them home better than they came in.
