Sheela has an extensive nursing experience in Women & Infant setting where she enjoys her dual role of caring for a diverse population of Mothers & Infants as well as educating their families. She obtained her MSN with PMHNP specialty at The Ohio State University. Sheela is an NCC certified Maternal & Newborn Nurse and ANCC board certified Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner. As an immigrant herself, she specializes in caring for patients with different backgrounds, where stigma is still one of the main barriers in accessing mental health treatment. She gives culturally sensitive care and continuously advocates for improving health care access and reducing health disparities amongst the marginalized population in Ohio communities. As a mental health care provider, she is very passionate about providing patient-centered, relationship-focused, inclusive and evidence-based mental health services.
