Shelby Becker is a board-certified dietitian specializing in eating disorders, disordered eating, heart health and neurodivergent nutrition counseling. She is committed to evidence-based, weight-inclusive care. Shelby works with individuals experiencing symptoms of eating disorders, such as restrictive eating, binge eating, compulsive exercise, and chronic dieting, as well as body dissatisfaction and low self-worth. From early in her career, Shelby felt drawn to support people in healing their relationship with food, body, and self, after seeing how deeply diet culture and shame can impact every part of a person’s life. She finds it especially meaningful to witness clients reclaim their voice, build self-compassion, and move toward a more empowered, values-aligned life. In session, Shelby offers a warm, collaborative, and nonjudgmental space where all parts of a person’s experience are welcome, drawing from approaches such as CBT, HAES-aligned care, and trauma-informed, client-centered nutrition counseling, and tailoring treatment to each client’s needs, goals, and identities. She believes that healing is most powerful when it is relational, culturally responsive, and affirming of all bodies, genders, sexualities, and backgrounds, and she values honesty, humor, and flexibility so that clients can feel seen, respected, and supported as the experts of their own stories.
