Dr. Yirielis Sanguinetti-Colon, MD

Yirielis Sanguinetti, MD, is a pediatrician with 20 years of experience. She has an interest in a root-cause approach to children’s health and is currently learning about approaches to treat children with eczema, acne, PANS/PANDAS, and Chronic Inflammatory Response Syndrome (CIRS/biotoxin illness). Patients and parents describe visits as relatable, informative, down to earth—and often a little fun. She provides care in English and Spanish, and some Portuguese.

Dr. Sanguinetti earned her Bachelor’s in Biology from UMass Amherst and her medical degree from the Lewis Katz School of Medicine at Temple University. She is board certified by the American Board of Pediatrics and serves as an Assistant Professor in the UTHSCSA Pediatrics Department. Her work has been recognized with a Physician of the Quarter award from University Health System in San Antonio.

Parents often note her clear explanations and approachable style. She is exploring a functional medicine, root-cause perspective as part of her clinical approach. Outside the clinic, she founded Inside Out Health, a telemedicine practice focused on helping children with chronic skin conditions through root-cause analysis and a holistic approach.

Her path started early—she wanted to be a pediatrician as a child, inspired by her own doctor and the idea that physicians help people get better. She enjoys learning how the body works and heals and partnering with families to support their kids’ health.
