In order to take advantage of your full visit, please arrive promptly for this visit. Those arriving late will not be accommodated and will be advised to rebook. Refunds are not given in these cases.
NOTE: we DO NOT provide services related to disability assessment and paperwork, worker's compensation claims, and/or controlled medicine prescriptions for new patients. Additionally, all KCDPC providers and staff reserve the right to refer patients on to higher-level care as appropriate and will certainly do so, potentially before the end of the visit, for those needing emergency or urgent care services; the visit fee will not be refunded in this situation.
Refills stemming from this visit will be provided on a case-by-case basis and will not be given more than 90 days into the future without an in-person visit.
Fees paid for this visit can be applied towards membership in our direct primary care program.
Dr. Edwards aims to change the manner in which healthcare is delivered, putting the emphasis on keeping people well rather than solely stepping in and treating the sick. Her professional interests and areas of expertise include public health, women’s health, preventive medicine, and emergency medicine. Originally from Lawrence, Dr. Edwards spent her undergraduate years at Drake University in Des Moines, IA before returning to Kansas City for medical school at the University of Kansas. From there, she completed her residency and served as Chief Resident at the University of Colorado in Denver, CO and is currently board-certified by the American Board of Family Medicine. In addition to providing care at KCDPC, she serves as a Volunteer Clinical Assistant Professor for the University of Kansas and a Volunteer Clinical Instructor for the University of Colorado.
