She serves as an expert panelist and clinical consultant for various Hospital Liaison Committees, community-based groups that work to ensure that patients' medical wishes are carried out respectfully. She is also a community educator, devoting several hours each month to conducting individual and group lessons and engaging in public speaking.
In her free time, Charisse enjoys cooking, exercising, spending time with her husband and large extended family, and traveling to new places.
