Aida Gholami, MD
Aida Gholami is a medical professional at City of Hope, where she specializes in hospice and palliative medicine. Her background is rooted in family medicine and clinical research, and she is an expert at providing comprehensive, compassionate care for patients who navigate complex, life-limiting illnesses.
Aida believes the best care comes from working closely with patients and their loved ones. She takes a collaborative approach to decision-making—especially when managing difficult symptoms like pain and anxiety, or when patients transition between the hospital, hospice, and their home. In open and thoughtful family conversations, she aims to align clinical treatment with the personal goals and values of the patient.
Before joining City of Hope, Aida completed her Hospice and Palliative Medicine Fellowship at WellStar Kennestone Regional Medical Center. She previously completed her Family Medicine Residency at Desert Regional Medical Center and worked as a Research Associate at Stanford Children's Health.
Earlier in her career, she completed clinical observations at Johns Hopkins and the University of Maryland. She also served as a primary care physician in underserved rural communities in Iran. Her journey in healthcare reflects a long-standing commitment to evidence-based practice.
Aida earned her Doctor of Medicine from Hormozgan University of Medical Sciences. You can find her on LinkedIn.
