Cynthia McNeill is a nurse practitioner (NP) with a focus on family medicine and psychiatry. She is also an associate professor of health, human services, and science at Ashford University. She earned her Ph.D. in human services with a specialization in health care administration from Capella University, an MSN for the University of South Alabama focusing on family practice, an MBA and a BsIT from AIU, and a BSN from Emory University. She has been an assistant professor for over a decade, teaching across several healthcare programs at both baccalaureate and master’s levels in gerontology, healthcare administration, management, and nursing. Professionally, she has spent over a decade in healthcare leadership, as a practicing clinician, an educator, and a researcher.
Cynthia McNeill was named Director of the Year by the International Nurses Association (INA) for her work in community care. She is a member of the United Advanced Practice Registered Nurses - GA chapter and the American Association of Nurse Practitioners. She is passionate about providing quality, evidence-based, and affordable care, with access to all residents. She believes that patient-centeredness is of the utmost importance and lends to more successful patient outcomes.
